Slowdown signs - Japanese automotive copper demand dips

According to Japan Copper & Brass Association data, Japan's demand for copper products for automobiles fell by 18% to 28% YoY in November 2008 following automotive output cuts. As per the data, the November production of copper coil fell by 23.4% YoY to 18,600 tonnes, brass bars by 18.5% YoY to 15,884 tonnes and brass coil by 28.4% YoY to 8,280 tonnes.
