Saturn and Saab to Shut Down in Canada

While the brands may survive in the U.S., two brands suffering from lack of profit and brand recognition, will be shut down in Canadian dealerships imminently in a joint decision from GM and Penske Automotive Group.

While Saturn dealers in the United States will continue to receive supplies of the Aura sedan and the Outlook and Vue crossovers, Canada will lose out. The Astra has already gone out of production.

Most Canadian dealers involved in the decsion have already shut down or moved to other brands, leaving only 46 Saturn dealers today. All Saturn parts and warranty service will move to local GM dealerships.
